Wisznia Believes In Design-Driven Development

WISZNIA DEVELOPMENT knows that good architecture is not just about a list of amenities. Sure, lots of developers build apartments and condos with what has become a de riguer list of fancy features: custom countertops, stainless appliances, off-street parking, gyms. Yawn.

No doubt we’ve got those too, but we think finding a place to live should be more than picking an option package on a new car―we think you should be in love with the personality of the car, or apartment, itself. This is what Design-Driven Development is all about: making places that relax, delight, and even inspire our tenants through the design of the spaces themselves and then using our understanding of New Orleans ensure that we put our developments in the best possible locations so you can live life to the fullest in our amazing and unique city.

Check out a few of our apartment offerings below, or check out the projects in our Architecture Portfolio to find out more Wisnzia’s architectural heritage.

These Are Some of Our Projects:

Union Lofts: classic-modern luxury apartments in New Orleans Central Business District. Each unit in the historic Western Union Telegraph Building is design focused, featuring large windows, granite countertops and dramatic use of light & space. Centrally located at 334 Carondelet St., Union Lofts are on the St. Charles streetcar line, four blocks from the French Quarter and steps to much of the Class A office space in New Orleans. All 33 units are fully furnished with stylish classic-modern furniture by Le Corbusier, Mies van der Rohe, Isamu Noguchi, Harry Bertia, Eero Saarinen and Marcel Breuer. Common areas and apartments have original artwork by John Lawson & Terrence Sanders. Corporate units with complete housewares are available.

Live refined at The Maritime, downtown New Orleans’ newest luxe apartment building, one block off of Canal St on Carondelet. Sculpted out of New Orleans first skyscraper, The Maritime, built in 1893 and renovated head-to-toe in 2010, is ten floors of one- and two-bedroom units, each appointed with the finest modern finishes and all within an inimitable classic beaux-arts building. Find seclusion amidst the excitement and revelry of downtown and the French Quarter with Maritime’s beautiful rooftop pool, private fitness area, part-time doorman, and off-street parking. Each unit offers high ceilings, beautiful bay windows, hardwood floors, granite countertops, and travertine marble floors.

Live boldly at The Saratoga, a new type of apartment building created for the movers-and-shakers of the “new” New Orleans. This isn’t your granddaddy’s wrought iron and pastel paint: The Saratoga is fifteen stories of studio, one- and two-bedroom units fully outfitted with modern amenities – and all with a 1950’s vintage swagger. Built in 1953 and completely renovated in 2010, The Saratoga stands at the center of New Orleans’ future, on the corner of Tulane and Loyola, overlooking City Hall and the Tulane/LSU/VA medical district. The Saratoga has all amenities for the modern professional: onsite parking garage, fitness center, rooftop hot tubs, and bamboo garden.
